Why “after EVAP” is the number that matters
Sticker MSRP is what headlines quote. You actually pay freight, PDI, and typical dealer fees - then subtract EVAP only if the trim is eligible. A cheaper-looking Tesla Model 3 can cost more than a Leaf after rebate because Shanghai-built Model 3s miss EVAP. Tesla has also paused new Model 3 Premium orders, saying its import quota is used up and that ordering resumes if the government issues more quota, expected March 2027.
