EV rebates in Canada, 2026
The old iZEV program has ended. EVAP replaced it on 16 February 2026 and pays $5,000 on a qualifying new battery-electric vehicle, or $2,500 on a plug-in hybrid. Provincial money stacks on top: Manitoba and PEI still add $4,000. Ontario does not.

Federal EVAP is $5,000 on a qualifying new battery-electric vehicle. Used-EV amounts are provincial only - EVAP does not pay on pre-owned cars. Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and the territories are omitted until we have a dated official source, not a scrape. Alberta also charges a $200 annual EV tax.
