Tesla's one-month FSD referral is not in Canada
The October 2026 one-month Full Self-Driving referral is a U.S. offer. In Canada, an eligible new Model 3, Model Y, or Cybertruck referral is three months of FSD (Supervised), and the referrer gets $325 in Tesla Credits.
What the U.S. post actually offered
On 29 October 2026, Tesla North America posted that owners could refer friends and family and gift them a month of FSD (Supervised). If that friend then starts a paid subscription, the referrer gets a free month back, or $99 in Tesla Credits if they bought FSD outright. The post ends with "Available in the US."
Drive Tesla Canada checked whether Canadian owners could see the same offer in the app and reported that they could not. Tesla has not said when, or whether, that one-month gift will be turned on here.
What a Canadian referral does today
Canada's vehicle referral is separate. A buyer who orders a new Model 3, Model Y, or an eligible Cybertruck through a referral link gets three months of FSD (Supervised). The owner who referred them earns $325 in Tesla Credits. There is no cash discount on the car.
Model S and Model X were taken off that vehicle referral earlier in 2026. A demo drive booked through a link is a smaller credit, and it is not offered in Quebec. Referral caps and province exceptions change, so the number to trust is the one in the Tesla app on the day you send the link.
What FSD (Supervised) is, and what it costs
Tesla Canada lists FSD (Supervised) at $99 a month. The support page says it is a subscription, not a one-time purchase, and that the driver has to stay attentive. It does not make the car autonomous. You subscribe from the Tesla app or the car's screen, and only the account that owns the car can start it.
A free month, or the three months that come with a Canadian new-car referral, is a trial of that subscription. It is not a rebate on the vehicle, and it does not change EVAP. The Model 3 rebate page is the separate question of why a China-built Model 3 misses the federal purchase program.
